• The envoi is a good starting point as it is familiar.·
• Most Pioneers and Venturers will have studied the 1st and 2nd world wars at school and will be more familiar with them than more recent wars.·
• Ask everyone to look out for newspaper articles about current conflicts and bring them in. They can then explain their article to the group.·
• Pictures of war zones are a good way of starting discussion about effects on the environment.
