The aim of the activity: To explore the what a greenhouse feels like and think about what the Greenhouse Effect is.

What to do:
Take the whole group to a local park or garden where there's a temperate greenhouse (one that's not got a heating system). Take thermometers with you.

The group records temperatures and inside and outside. They also note their feelings about the differences between inside, outside and in their own home. (Temperature, humidity, what plants are growing, what insects can be seen).

As an alternative, if circumstances allow, split group up into three or four and go to parents' or friends' garden greenhouses.
